Memorial Day

For Memorial Day, I didn't do anything really.  On Saturday, I went to a barbecue at my cousin's house.  That was fun because I got to see a lot of my family.  The first celebrated memorial day was in 1868.  Memorial Day isn't for the people in service, it's for the people that has died in service.

National Month Celebrations

People feel like its a good idea to celebrate things like smiles because they want to encourage people to do good things.  I think a lot of people celebrate things like National Smile Month, just not me.  There are many celebrations like National Packrat day, Lucky Penny Day, and My bucket has a hole in it day.  I don't have any ideas of what to celebrate.  There are too many weird celebrations to not redo one.

Violence on TV?

Violence on TV? Too much?  Honestly I don't think there is too much violence on TV.  You don't have to watch it so I wouldn't worry about it.  TV shows are more exciting with violence, it keeps you on the edge of your seat.  I watch some violent TV shows, but not very many.  I think this TV show isn't too violent but the perfect amount to keep you wanting more.  I think the right age to be watching this show is about 13-14 because it does have swear words in it that aren't very appropriate for young ears.

Prom

Prom is pretty overrated.  It's a waste of money to have a dress, nails, hair and then tickets too.  I'm not going to prom anymore.  I was going to but plans changed I guess.  I will probably just go to prom my senior year.  My mom is doing after prom so I have to set up.  I get to do all the activities before it starts, so I'm not worried about not being able to go.

Earth Day

To me, Earth Day means a day of celebration to keep the Earth clean.  No, I don't celebrate Earth Day at all, I didn't even know when is was.  Earth Day is celebrated in over 190 countries.  On Earth Day 2012, more than 100,000 people rode bikes in China to save fuel.  In Panama, 100 endangered species of orchids were planted and maintained to prevent their extinction in honor of Earth Day. 

Spring Break

Over Spring Break, I didn't do much.  The only eventful day that I had was most likely Friday because we went to Houghton Lake.  We went there to go to Comfort Inn for the waterpark.  It was interesting because there were a ton of college kids there.  We came home on Saturday and sopped at my Grandma and Grandpa's.  It was a blast.

Pencils

The pencil was invented in 1975 by Nicholas-Jacques Conte.  I usually use a pencil instead of a pen.  You can erase with pencil but not pen.  I doodle a lot with pencils.  I like mechanical pencils better than regular yellow pencils.  I think pencils will always be around.  They are very helpful and useful.
